There is an alarming increase in the incidence of Asthma, allergies, AD(H)D and Autism in children. Food allergies, eczema, hay fever and asthma form part of the allergic march in children. The immune shift to an allergic pattern seems to be due to a combination of a genetic predisposition together with environmental and immunologic triggers. Children on the Autism spectrum present with a complex symptom pattern. There is scientific evidence of food reactivity and immune dysregulation as a result of the intake of certain foods. Examination and testing must be directed at trying to determine the origin of the problem and to be able to plan the correct management.
